B-with-us offers a range of different accommodation types to suit our customers.

- Extra Care Housing: Extra care housing is a type of accommodation for older adults or those with care needs, offering independent living with access to on-site support and personal care when needed. It combines the privacy of your own home with the security of 24/7 support. For most extra care schemes, you should contact the local councils adult social services team for an assessment. However you can apply for some schemes in Calderdale via B-with-us. These schemes are Willow Court in Elland, Clement Court in Halifax and Mytholm Meadows in Hebden Bridge.

Mutual Exchange
If you are looking to move home, in addition to registering with B-with-us, you might want to consider swapping with another tenant, sometimes called a Mutual Exchange. You can exchange with a tenant of:
- Your existing landlord
- Another Housing Association
- A Local Authority
There are several national websites which advertise mutual exchanges for social housing tenancies.
Some require a small fee, and some are free to access; check your landlords' website to see if you can register for free on any sites.
Useful information
How long will it take for my housing register application to be assessed once it has been submitted?
Applications will be assessed within ten working days of submitting the form. You will be contacted in the message centre with the outcome of your application.
What does Local Lettings plan mean?
A Local Lettings Plan is a set of rules for certain properties in a particular area. It helps make sure the community is balanced and stable. When you apply for a property, some homes may have extra rules, like age limits, job status, or whether you live locally. If a property has a Local Lettings Plan, these rules will be listed in the advert so you can check if you're eligible before applying.
Why does it say that a property 'shortlist is still being processed' when the property advert closed weeks or months ago?
Properties are offered to the successful applicant as quickly as possible. Until the landlord has updated the system to say that the applicant has accepted the property (including their tenancy start date) it is still being "processed".
When will I know if my bid has been successful?
If your bid is successful, the housing provider will contact you directly. It might take some time if the property is being worked on, so please be patient. Keep an eye on your account's message centre for any updates.
