How do I create an account?
Creating an account couldn’t be simpler, all you need to get started is an email address you have access to. Simply click the Create an Account button on the home page, enter the requested details and confirm. Once registered you will then be sent a confirmation email to verify your email address and sign in to your new account.
What if I don’t have an email address?
Don’t worry if you do not have an email address, there are other options available to you.
- It's free to set up an email account. Please see our helpful guide to get you started. Once created, use your new email address to create an account.
- You may wish to ask a family member, friend, or trusted person if they will help you by using their email address to manage your account on your behalf. All correspondence about your account will be sent to their email so please ensure you can contact them easily. Check that your trusted person hasn’t already used their email address to create their own account, as you cannot use the same email on more than one account.
- If you do not have the option of a trusted person, or any access to the internet to create an email, we can help you register by phone. Please call our dedicated customer service team on 0300 555 5560 to request an appointment to help you complete the housing register form. Please ensure you have all the information you need to apply before contacting us, see here for a list to get you started.
I have registered but haven’t received the confirmation email?
The confirmation email usually takes a couple of minutes to arrive. If after this time you haven’t received the email, please check your "junk mail" or "spam" folder as it may be in there. If you still can’t find it, it could be that you have entered your email address incorrectly. If you think this has happened, the simplest thing to do is to re-register with the correct email address.
I have forgotten my password or changed my email address, what do I do now?
Don’t worry, you can use the Forgotten your account details? link on the login page. You will receive an email and a link to instructions on how to update your password. Please note that this link will stop working after 24 hours and after that you will need to click the forgotten password link again. If you no longer use the same email address you registered with, simply log in with your old email address, then update your details in the My Profile section of your account to inform us of your new details.
I have been asked to supply supporting documents to my application, how do I do this?
It’s quick and easy to send in any requested documents, simply upload them to your B-with-us account.
- To do this click the Actions button within your account and click on the action which asks you to upload a document.
- Click “select a file” and find the document you have saved on your device that you wish to upload.
- Finally click “upload and complete action”.
We will review the documents and complete any actions. Should we need further documents we will reply to you in the action centre.
I have submitted my housing application, what happens next?
After you have submitted your housing register application you will receive a message in the message centre of your account explaining the next steps. If you haven’t received the message, please go back to your housing register application, check you have clicked confirm and submit and there are no purple banners left at the top of your page. You should then receive the message.
My housing application is complete, but my circumstances have now changed, how do I update it?
Log into your account, click on the "My Account" button and you will see the sections of your housing application:
- My profile
- My family
- My addresses
- Housing register application.
Depending on what information you need to change, you can visit the relevant section, add your changes then save and submit your application. Our lettings team will check your changes to ensure your application is up to date and approve it within ten working days. Whilst your changes are being checked you will still be able to bid on properties if your application is active. If you do not keep your application up to date with any changes, this could make you ineligible for some properties.
My application is complete and submitted, should I do anything else?
If you haven’t already done so, we recommend that you register with your local authority as well as B-with-us. Many of our Landlords advertise some of their properties directly with them, using their lettings systems.
